Running Arrow Farm has two Tennessee Walking Horse Stallions that we believe will fully compliment each other.
"Cajun" aka "Mack K Shaker's Cajun" is our Mahogany Bay Stallion that has sired some very trainable and easy disposition foals for us. We have retained one daughter "Cajun's Sunny Spirit" that Sandy is using for her personal trail horse. This daugher and her dam (Diamond) are both bred to our newest Stallion Addition:
"Dusty's Royal Flush" (aka "Chance")
"Chance" is an unusual dark Palomino with Dapples, Silver Mane and Tail and has dark chocolate leggings. He has been DNA Color Tested to have one single Cream gene and one single Agouti gene. We believe that he also carries a "Sooty Gene" which is why with the Agouti gene you can see darker leggings on him. Chance is also a very rare find in that he has the old Foundation Lines up close in his pedigree. With three Foundation Numbers still on his papers. He has a well known Palomino Sire, and his dam and 2nd dam are both daughters of WGC Stallions making for a high quality bloodline top and bottom. These old bloodlines were bred to Walk. As well as being smart and people friendly. Chance's foals are good looking, smart, calm, and easily trained.
Both quality Stallions are available for outside bookings.
Our breeding program is directed toward breeding Quality "Rideable" Horses. We have bred our TWH mares to our own quality TWH Stallions.
Our breeding program is also directed toward quality breedings that pass on the great disposition of our own Stallions and off-site out-cross stallions.
Our TWH offspring are trained at Walker's West in Kaufman, TX. They are also placed at Walker's West on consignment for sale.
Early June of 2007 our coming 4 year old TWH filly Sunny was rode on her very 1st Trail ride. She went on a 10-12 mile trail ride across 2 creeks and displayed a calm willingness to walk on out... liked to be up front with the leaders, was calmly led with a lead rope across the two creeks going out... and came back across the same two creeks on her own without being led by her lead rope. (I had loaned out her lead rope for another horse on the way back. I was so proud of her calm attitude and was complimented on her good manners thru out the ride.) She did great!
