"Cajun" is a Mahogany Bay (some call him "brown") and a very manageable and polite stallion. He takes his time "courting" his females and is respectful. Sandy acquired him as a 10 month old colt, trained him, and has had him continuously for about 12 years. Sandy rides Cajun bareback also with a Western or English Saddle. He is very willing and calm on the trail. We started breeding Cajun to our TWH mares in 2002 when we purchased our 1st TWH mare.
We are very pleased with his good looking and intelligent offspring that he is consistantly producing for us. We took Cajun's bay daughter, RAF Cajun's Sunny Spirit" aka Sunny and bred her to our Roan Palomino, "Dusty's Royal Flush" and have a 2008 light roan buckskin filly that we are extremely proud of. As this mating proves that the crossing of Cajun and Chance is a very good "Nick".
Cajun's daughter, Sunny, is Sandy's trail riding buddy that is a drama queen in the pasture like her dam, but Sunny is the ideal trail riding horse when under saddle. It is this natural trail riding ability that we have selected our Tennessee Walkers for. We do not use shoes, but trail ride with only a natural trim. Cajun's feet are nice and sturdy and he passes this on to his get.
Cajun has not been shown, even though he has some significant ancestors, including the "Old bloodlines" in his pedigree. Some famous names include Midnight Sun (WGC) , Merry Boy, Merry Go Boy, Last Chance, Sun's Celebration, Go Boy's Shadow, along with the more recent Sun's Quarterback and Mack K's Handshaker (WGC). He has a beautiful headset and a natural four-cornered gait (not pacey) with a very comfortable "rocking chair" canter. Cajun presents a great, well-mannered disposition, energy, and is ready to serve your mares or breeding age fillies!
Cajun's Mahogany Bay coloring (one agouti gene) makes him an ideal cross on those Cremello or Perlino Mares for a possible Buckskin foal.
