We have been breeding and raising foundation stock since May 2001.  Sandy and I started out with 2 Longhorns and now currently have 96 on the ground with more calves expected for 2011.  Nearly twice as many Longhorns have been sold by us during the past 8 years.  We have customers in Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arizona, California, Tennessee, New Mexico and South Dakota. 

We are continually upgrading our breeding stock with impressive bloodlines, conformation, and horn potential.

We pride ourselves in breeding easily managed cattle that are people friendly.  Through our efforts, our customers can expect to receive Longhorns that have great dispositions and are used to being handled.  Our cattle are inspected daily and we walk through our different groups several times a week.

We now have two ongoing programs. Our "Body Program" where we are stressing the full bigger bodies and solid colors, with not as much emphases on the horn. This being the "meat and potato" part of our herd.  "We expect to be able to put a longhorn in our freezer when we need to".

 But the other half of the herd is our "Horn Program" where we are breeding for that much prized "horn" and a wide assortment of colors with the smaller "old fashioned" lighter weight body styles.  These two programs are running roughly half and half in our herd.

  We try to have "something for everyone" to enhance their own breeding program.  Whether you are looking for a quality foundation Longhorn for your own program, a very good looking Longhorn for your front pasture, or a Longhorn to cross-breed to your commercial cattle...we think we have something for you!

Our breeding stock comes from quality breeders.  Our Longhorn genetics include names such as Hunt's Command Respect, Roundup, LC Bladen, Tabasco, The Shadow, Phenomenon, Jet Jockey, Tabasco, Ozark Mountain Queen, Jet Black Wynonna, Slam Dunk, Roundup's Purple Sage, Zhivago, Salida Slick, Superior, Ranger's Measles, and other famous names.

All in all, we emphasize body, overall conformation, and horn genetics in our program.  Our Herd Sires, "BBQ", "Red Magic 28", "Rockytop Diamond", and "Rumble" have put top quality calves on the ground for us as our female base to grow on!   We will continue to heavily use the "Owen McGill" & "Doug Hunt" influence thru the use of the bulls that have been bred by them.  This use of "Roundup & Hunt's Command Respect" genetics thru their sons on our female base will help us continuiosly improve our program.

Our breeding stock influence has been purchased from the programs of  'Blue Mountain Longhorns', 'Bluebird Ridge Longhorns', 'Cabin Creek Farms', 'DCCI', 'Kirkham Cattle Company', 'Le'An Cattle Company,' McGill/Wilson Ranch',  'Rockin J Longhorns', 'Sand Dollar Ranch', and 'Triple-T-Longhorns'.

Our breeding "matings" are accomplished via extensive research of lineages, conformation, horn potential, color patterns, and other attributes.  We also do "what if" breeding simulations on our computer.  While we have four resident bulls in service, we have also used Artificial Insemination for selected breedings.

We also keep "extensive management records" on all of our cattle as well as obtain routine weights and horn measurement data and hip heights.  Our customers can be assured they will receive complete records (including medical records) on any Longhorn they purchase from us.
